About
My name is Byron K Foster and I am running for Coroner of Winston County. I have lived in Winston county most of my life.
I graduated from Nanih Waiya Attendance Center in 2009 and from East Mississippi Community College in 2012 with a degree in Funeral Service Technology. I hold a National Funeral Service License as well as certificates from the State Fire Academy and National Fire Academy.
My family and I attend New Zion United Pentecostal Church. I have been a licensed funeral service professional for six years and have been working in the funeral industry for 13 years. I am the office manager and salesman for Central Mississippi Monument Company in Louisville.
I am a local board member of the Selective Service System, which is an appointment from the President of the United States. I am also a member of the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department.
I have been married to my wife, Jennifer Lynn Foster, for five years. We have two children, Briley Jean and Braylynn Elizabeth Foster. I am the son of Ricky Brown and Seretia Jean Sullivan Foster and the grandson of the late Horace Titus and Martha “Inky” Foster and Doyle Patterson and Jean Pearson Sullivan.
I have had a desire to be Coroner for several years. I have decided to step out in faith and trust God’s direction as I run for the office of coroner. I will bring the upmost respect and professionalism to every family that they deserve. If elected coroner, I will do my best to show up on every call and if I can’t I will have a deputy show up in my place. The people of Winston county are near and dear to me and I ask you to consider me as your next coroner.
